How to Clear Notification History on macOS 13
Managing alerts in macOS 13 Ventura helps keep your desktop organized and prevents important updates from getting buried. This guide provides the fastest methods to access the macOS Notification Center and clear out old notification history, whether you want to remove alerts one by one or dismiss entire groups at once.
Open the Notification Center
To view your notification history in macOS 13:
- Click the Date and Time in the top-right corner of your menu bar.
- Alternatively, swipe left with two fingers from the right edge of your trackpad.

- An X icon will appear in the upper-right corner of the notification block.
- Click the X icon.
- Click Clear All when prompted to remove the entire group.
Tip: To skip the confirmation step, hold the Option key and click the X icon to clear the entire group instantly.
Clear Individual Notifications
If you only want to remove specific notifications:
- If the notifications are stacked, click the stack to expand it.
- Hover your cursor over the specific notification you want to delete.
- Click the small X icon that appears in the top-left or top-right corner of that individual notification.
