While the software update supports a wide range of devices dating back to 2018, compatibility varies depending on the processor, especially for newer AI-driven tools. Officially Supported iPhone Models

The official release of iOS 18 is compatible with the following iPhone models:

Every iPhone that supported iOS 17 can be updated to iOS 18. Devices older than the iPhone XR and iPhone XS—such as the iPhone X, iPhone 8, and iPhone 8 Plus—cannot run iOS 18.

Apple Intelligence Compatibility Requirements

While all of the models listed above support base iOS 18 features—such as home screen icon customization, the revamped Control Center, and the redesigned Photos app—they do not all support Apple Intelligence.

Apple Intelligence features require an A17 Pro chip or newer with at least 8GB of RAM. Consequently, only the following models support Apple Intelligence on iOS 18:
