How to Create Multi-Page Control Center in iOS 18

Apple's iOS 18 completely redesigns the Control Center, giving users the ability to build multi-page layouts tailored to specific daily workflows. Instead of cramming every shortcut onto a single screen, you can now dedicate distinct pages to categories like smart home management, media playback, connectivity, and productivity. This guide walks you through the step-by-step process of adding, arranging, and customizing multiple Control Center pages on your iPhone.

Entering Control Center Edit Mode

To begin building custom pages, open Control Center by swiping down from the top-right corner of your screen. Enter edit mode using either of these methods:

  • Tap the + (plus) icon in the top-left corner of the screen.
  • Press and hold any empty space within the Control Center grid.

Creating a New Page

Once in edit mode, you will notice page indicator icons running vertically along the right edge of the screen:

  1. Swipe down past your existing pages, or tap the empty circle icon at the bottom of the right-hand navigation rail.
  2. An empty grid will appear, representing your new blank page.

Adding and Grouping Controls for Specific Workflows

With a new page active, tap Add a Control at the bottom of the screen to open the control gallery. Select controls that match the workflow you want to assign to this page:

  • Smart Home Hub: Group individual HomeKit accessories, specific room controls, and scene triggers onto one page to manage lighting and climate without opening the Home app.
  • Work & Productivity: Add timers, the Voice Memos toggle, Quick Note, Focus mode selectors, and custom Shortcuts that launch specific work routines.
  • Audio & Entertainment: Place a full-sized Now Playing widget alongside AirPlay targets, Shazam, and volume toggles.
  • Connectivity & Utilities: Group Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Personal Hotspot, Airplane Mode, Low Power Mode, and the Flashlight together.

Resizing and Rearranging Controls

iOS 18 allows you to adjust the size and placement of controls to prioritize your most-used actions:

  • Resize: Drag the accent handle in the bottom-right corner of any supported control to expand it into a pill shape or a larger square widget.
  • Move: Tap and drag any control across the grid. Other items will automatically flow around it to make room.
  • Remove: Tap the – (minus) icon on the top-left of any individual control you no longer need.

Saving Your New Layout

When you finish setting up your new workflow page, tap anywhere in the empty space or swipe up from the bottom of the display to exit edit mode. You can instantly jump between your new pages at any time by swiping vertically or tapping the specific icon in the side navigation bar while Control Center is open.
