How to Scan Medication Labels in iOS 16 Health
The iOS 16 Health app includes a feature that simplifies medication tracking by allowing users to scan medication labels directly with their iPhone camera. Instead of manually typing in long pharmaceutical names and dosages, you can use your device's camera to read the label or barcode to automatically log your prescriptions, vitamins, and over-the-counter drugs. This guide provides a straightforward walkthrough on how to use this feature to build your medication schedule.

To scan medication labels, you need an iPhone XS, iPhone XR, or later running iOS 16 or newer. The feature primarily supports scanning medications distributed in regions where the Health app’s medication database is enabled (such as the United States).
