Apple Card Cash Back Balance in iOS 16 Wallet
In iOS 16, Apple Card cash back—officially called Daily Cash—is integrated directly into the Apple Wallet app rather than appearing on a monthly statement. Instead of existing as a separate balance on your credit line, Daily Cash is automatically deposited daily onto your digital Apple Cash card or redirected into an Apple Card Savings account, while detailed tracking for your rewards remains accessible directly through the Apple Card dashboard.
Primary Display Locations
1. The Apple Cash Card By default, your accumulated cash back is deposited onto your Apple Cash card, which sits alongside your Apple Card in the Wallet app.
- The balance visible on the front of the Apple Cash card represents your total spendable rewards (plus any funds transferred via Messages or your bank).
- When a purchase clears, the cash back amount automatically increases this balance.
2. Apple Card Savings (iOS 16.4 and later) If you set up an Apple Card Savings account, Daily Cash deposits automatically route to this high-yield account instead of the Apple Cash card.
- The balance appears on a dedicated "Savings" tile directly inside the Apple Card interface.
How to View Detailed Daily Cash Totals
To see your cumulative earnings rather than just your current spendable balance:
- Open the Wallet app on iOS 16.
- Tap your Apple Card.
- Tap the More button (the three dots inside a circle in the top-right corner).
- Select Daily Cash.
In this menu, the Wallet app displays:
- Total Daily Cash Earned: Breakdowns filtered by year, month, or all-time.
- Daily Cash Destination: Shows whether your cash back routes to Apple Cash or Apple Card Savings.
- Bonus Daily Cash Offers: Any active promotional rates or merchant-specific rewards.
Viewing Cash Back for Individual Transactions
You can also view the exact cash back earned on a per-purchase basis:
- Tap your Apple Card in the Wallet app.
- Scroll down to Latest Transactions and select a purchase.
- The transaction details screen will display the percentage earned (1%, 2%, or 3%) and the exact dollar amount of Daily Cash generated.
- The status will indicate whether the Daily Cash is pending or has already been deposited.
