How to Pin Memoji for Quick Access in iOS 12

This guide explains how to quickly access your custom Memoji in iOS 12 by pinning the feature to your Messages app favorites bar. In iOS 12, personalized avatars are accessed through the Animoji iMessage app, and prioritizing it in your app drawer ensures your characters are always one tap away whenever you compose a text.

How to Pin the Memoji App in iOS 12

1. Open the Messages app on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Tap an existing conversation or start a new message.
3. Look at the app drawer located directly beneath the text input field.
4. Swipe all the way to the right across the app icons and tap the More icon (represented by three dots ...).
5. Tap Edit in the top-right corner of the screen.
6. Locate Animoji (the monkey icon used to create and display Memoji). If it is under the "More Apps" section, tap the green Plus (+) button to move it into "Favorites."
7. To make it appear first, touch and hold the reorder handle (three horizontal lines) next to the Animoji icon, drag it to the very top of your Favorites list, and tap Done.

Accessing Your Favorite Memoji Expressions
