How to Turn on Pixel Preview in CorelDRAW
This guide explains how to enable Pixel Preview mode in CorelDRAW to accurately preview how your vector designs will render when exported as raster images. You will learn the exact menu steps to toggle the mode on, how to view the underlying pixel grid, and how to switch back to standard vector rendering.
Steps to Enable Pixels View
- Open your document in CorelDRAW.
- Click the View menu at the top of the application window.
- Select Pixels from the drop-down menu.
Your workspace will immediately change from displaying smooth, resolution-independent vector lines to showing the design mapped to an exact pixel grid based on your document's resolution.
Viewing the Pixel Grid
To examine individual pixels closely:
- Select the Zoom tool (or press Z) and zoom in on your artwork to at least 800%.
- If the grid lines do not appear automatically, go to View > Show > Pixel Grid to display the individual pixel boundaries.
- Ensure Align to Pixels is active if you want shapes to snap neatly to pixel borders by navigating to View > Snap To > Pixels.
How to Turn Off Pixel Preview
To return to the default, smooth vector view:
- Click the View menu.
- Select Enhanced (recommended for modern displays) or Normal.
