How to Toggle the Hints Docker in CorelDRAW
The Hints docker in CorelDRAW provides dynamic, context-sensitive guidance and shortcut tips based on the active tool you select. This guide explains how to quickly show, hide, or toggle the Hints docker using standard menus and workspace controls, allowing you to free up screen real estate or access real-time assistance whenever needed.
Method 1: Using the Window Menu
The most direct way to toggle the Hints docker is through the main application menu:
- Click on Window in the top menu bar.
- Hover over Dockers (or Inspectors on macOS).
- Click on Hints to toggle it on or off.
A checkmark next to "Hints" indicates that the docker is currently active and visible on your workspace. Selecting it again will remove the checkmark and close the panel.
Method 2: Using the Quick Add Button
If you already have the docker panel open on the right side of your workspace:
- Locate the + (Quick Add) button at the top-right corner of the open docker panel or docker tab strip.
- In the list of available dockers that appears, find Hints.
- Check the box next to Hints to display it, or uncheck the box to hide it.
How to Minimize or Close the Hints Docker
Once the Hints docker is visible, you can manage it without navigating through the top menus:
- Collapse the Docker: Click the small arrow icon at the top of the Hints tab to collapse it into a vertical strip, keeping it readily accessible without taking up drawing space.
- Close the Docker: Click the X icon in the upper-right corner of the Hints docker panel to close it completely.
