How to Reset Object Transformations in CorelDRAW

Resetting object transformations in CorelDRAW allows you to quickly undo modifications such as rotating, scaling, skewing, and resizing, restoring an object to its original dimensions and orientation. This guide explains how to use CorelDRAW's built-in commands and property tools to instantly clear transformations from any vector shape, text, or imported element.

Using the Clear Transformations Command

The fastest way to remove all applied transformations from an object is through the main application menu:

  1. Select the modified object using the Pick tool (Spacebar or V depending on workspace settings).
  2. Click Object in the top menu bar (in older versions of CorelDRAW, this is labeled Arrange).
  3. Select Clear Transformations.

Once clicked, CorelDRAW immediately removes all rotation angles, sizing adjustments, and skewing, reverting the object to the exact state it was in when initially created or imported.

Resetting Specific Transformations Manually

If you only want to reset a single property—such as rotation—without affecting the object's current size:

  • Rotation: Select the object and locate the Angle of Rotation box on the interactive Property Bar at the top of the workspace. Change the value to 0.0 and press Enter.
  • Scale and Size: If you know the original dimensions, enter them directly into the Object Size boxes on the Property Bar, or reset the Scale Factor percentages to 100.0%.

Using the Transform Docker

For granular control over individual transformations:

  1. Open the Transform panel by navigating to Window > Dockers > Transform (or press Alt + F7).
  2. Choose the specific transformation tab you want to modify (Position, Rotate, Scale and Mirror, Size, or Skew).
  3. Reset the numerical values to their defaults (e.g., zero degrees for rotation or zero offset for skew) and click Apply.
